Join Father Christmas, Mrs Claus and their merry elves as they transform the Milton Keynes Museum grounds into a magical grotto from Friday 5  – Sunday 21 December (Fridays through Sundays only).

Often recommended as one of the best value grotto experiences in Milton Keynes, bring your little ones to help Mrs. Christmas whip up some special reindeer treats for Christmas Eve and enjoy festive crafts with the elves. Then meet Santa himself to receive a special gift.

Plus, experience the Museum’s enchanting Victorian Christmas, complete with mulled wine, mince pies, and a snow-dusted Street of Shops.

Santa’s Grotto Prices 
£16 per child, adults are free!

Please note: The cost of the Santa visit covers entry to the grotto and a gift from Father Christmas. You must also purchase Museum tickets in advance or present your annual ticket on the day.

All tickets to the Museum are converted to annual passes so you pay once and can visit for free all year.

Education Officer

Ellie megram

Ellie has lived in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area all her life.

Before joining Milton Keynes Museum, she worked as a primary school teacher where she especially enjoyed
planning enrichment activities and special events to give children a wealth of memorable experiences.

Passionate about the importance of learning beyond the classroom, Ellie values hands-on, interactive experiences that inspire curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

In her role as Education Officer, she develops engaging learning experiences and resources that bring the museum’s collections to life and spark fascination for learners of all ages.

Community Outreach Officer

Laura Dove

Laura is a creative who has previously worked in the Charity, Education & Local Government sectors, with three years of experience in community roles and is the Visual Arts Director of a Community-Based organisation in Uganda called Tambularts.

She’s based in Bedford but has had links to Milton Keynes throughout her life. She believes in bringing people together for the sake of the arts and aims to achieve this through the ‘Museum for a New City’ project by including a diverse range of the Milton Keynes community.

Laura loves the interactive nature of the Museum and as the Community Outreach Officer at Milton Keynes Museum, she wants to make sure people are involved in telling their stories and building heritage to contribute towards the permanent exhibitions in the new gallery.
