Yes, please do! Because the museum is a charity we can receive an extra 25p for every £1 on ticket income which will go towards keeping the museum open for future generations to enjoy.

If you a UK taxpayer you can opt into Gift Aid on your tickets at no additional cost to you. Simply tick the box if you’re purchasing online or say yes when purchasing your tickets at the museum.

Once you buy your ticket it is valid for one year and you can visit as many times as you wish! If you’ve booked online, your online ticket will be exchanged for an annual ticket when you arrive. The expiry date will be stamped on the ticket and will be valid for all days including event days. Please note that a trip to Santa’s Grotto is an additional fee.

No. Annual tickets are only for the original purchaser who signs the ticket. As an independent charity we rely on our ticket income to keep the museum open, thank you for your support.

Unfortunately we can’t re-issue annual tickets so please keep them safe.

You can select a free carer ticket online or book on the day of your visit. We offer one free carer ticket when accompanying a visitor with a disability.

Tickets are available on the day but we encourage visitors to book in advance on the website, no booking fee applies.

Yes. You will then be issued with your tickets which will be valid for a year.

We try to be as flexible as possible. Please call 01908 316222 to discuss options.

We recommend two to three hours for a visit but don’t worry if you can’t fit it all in, your ticket allows free entry for a year.

Yes! The Granary Tearoom is open every day that the museum is open and serves reasonably priced cakes and light lunches.

We welcome small dogs inside the Museum buildings (except the Granary Tea Room) but they must be carried. All guide and assisted dogs are always welcome.

Larger dogs can be walked in the grounds but must be kept on leads. Of course, owners are expected to clear up after their dogs.

Unfortunately we can’t accommodate these onsite. We do have bike racks but please note we can’t take responsibility for your belongs. We have a kids play area with swings and a slide for children to play on for under 7s.

Yes, we have ample free parking onsite including disabled bays. The main car park is just off McConnell Drive. We also have an additional overflow car park off Millers Way. On events days parking is more limited to we recommend arriving on foot, bike or public transport.

The museum is an independent charity (No. 803675). Unlike many free museums, we don’t receive any taxpayers money from the Government or the Local Authority so we need to raise our own funds from ticket income and sales in the shop and tearoom.

We are very reliant on volunteers who help to keep the Museum open now and for future generations to enjoy.  We estimate that the work our volunteers do would cost over one third of a million pounds. Find out how you can get involved here.
